With a wealth of experience in program, finance, and administrative roles for not-for-profit organizations, Elizabeth is a multi-talented member of GFC’s Finance Services team. She’s participated in finance functions as CFO, auditor, and board member, giving her invaluable insight on connecting finances to an organization’s mission. She is skilled at communicating clear, actionable financial information that allows clients to set priorities and make informed decisions.
Her audit experience includes work in manufacturing, hospitality, professional services, and retail industries.
Before joining GFC in 2021, Elizabeth spent eight years in Accounting & Auditing with CBIZ CPAs in Boston where she was a Principal in the Not-For-Profit and Education practice. She spent five years as Chief Financial Officer of a Massachusetts childcare agency where she streamlined the finance process and roles. She oversaw all aspects of the fiscal function, including budget preparation and management, annual financial reporting, benefit plan administration, uniform guidance and regulatory agency audits, and staff leadership of Finance and Retirement Plan Committees.
She holds a Certificate in Accounting from Salem State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Simmons University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College.
Elizabeth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of CPAs. She has served on several boards and finance committees, recently completing a term on the board of directors and as treasurer of Backyard Growers, a community organization promoting urban vegetable gardening in Gloucester, Mass. She is treasurer of the United Church of Northfield, VT, and serves on the church’s Stewardship, and Vision, Committees.
