Chelsea Condos, CPA

Tax Senior Manager

Chelsea  has broad experience working with companies in the real estate industry, including inbound international real estate investment funds, multinational construction companies, and real estate developers. Her experience includes work with pass-through entities, foreign corporations, and owner-operated S corporations. She has provided tax consulting relating to pass-through entity withholding, foreign withholding, percentage of completion method accounting, and IRS examinations.

Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Chelsea spent 13 years in the Federal Tax Real Estate group with KPMG in Atlanta and Boston.

Chelsea is a member of the AICPA and Vermont Society of CPAs, serves as a Board Member of the Burlington Business Association, and is also involved with the Vermont Welcome Wagon Project, helping new Vermonters settle in and feel more at home in the Green Mountain State. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Taxation.

Chelsea lives in South Burlington with her husband Chris and two children.

Chris is a senior manager in our tax practice.  He works closely with partnerships, S corporations, corporations and individuals. His clients include entities in various industries including manufacturing, distribution and retail, both in the US and Canada. He has a focus in cooperatives and solar entities.

Chris joined GFC in October 2012 after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Master of Accountancy degree. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants.

He currently resides in Jericho and spends his free time on two wheels.

Alena works with a variety of clients, from  private to investor-owned business, with a concentration in closely held businesses and their owners. Alena’s work with these clients focuses on tax compliance, planning, structuring and consulting, but also encompasses general business advisory, consulting and accounting services.  Alena has extensive experience with financial reporting and financial statement engagements, and therefore has the ability to apply that lens to her work with clients. At the heart of all that she does is her passion for working with businesses to support their current needs and future goals. She forms relationships with, and provides services to, clients in a broad range of industries, including professional services, software development, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and construction.

Alena joined GFC in 2009, after graduating from Northeastern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. While attending Northeastern, Alena worked in the greater Boston Area for firms including RSM US LLP, RINET, and Ernst & Young.

Alena is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants (VTCPA).

She currently resides in Westford, Vermont, with her husband, Josh, and their two children, Nora and Wyatt.

Angela provides general tax services to a diversified client base, including individuals, corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, with a focus on multi-state corporations. In addition, Angela works with clients in various industries including manufacturing, technology, distribution and service.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Angela was a tax senior at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. She spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers after graduating from Suffolk University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She also obtained her Master’s Degree in Taxation at Suffolk University in 2010.

Angela is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants (VTCPA). She currently serves on the board of directors of the VTCPA.

Angela currently resides in South Burlington, VT with her husband, Philip, and their daughter, Keira.

Elisia provides general tax services to a diversified client base, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and individuals.  Additionally, Elisia specializes in tax consulting for credits and incentives, with an extensive background in helping clients identify, document and support R&D credits.

Prior to rejoining the firm in 2019, Elisia was a manager at RSM US LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. She spent eight years at RSM focusing largely on R&D credits and compliance for large multi-state C corporations.  Prior to that, she was with BDO in Los Angeles, California, for three years focusing primarily on R&D credits amongst other general tax services.  Elisia started her career with GFC after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and minor in Statistics.

After living in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Boston over a span of 10 years, Elisia and her husband have returned to Vermont to raise their twins in the same town they grew up in, Colchester.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her family/friends, snowboarding, traveling, and practicing yoga.

Cathy has substantial experience in both public and private accounting. In public accounting, she has provided audit services to a variety of industries including, but not limited to manufacturing, construction, service, retail, real estate, and captive insurance. She also has experience serving organizations with Uniform Guidance requirements. While in private accounting, Cathy was responsible for the general ledger and financial reporting for a national healthcare software provider, a national food service company, and a large printing company serving primarily the Eastern United States.

Prior to joining GFC in 2010, Cathy spent eight years as an auditor with KPMG’s Burlington, Vermont, office where she audited large publicly traded companies, non-public companies, employee benefit plans and captive insurance companies. Previous to KPMG, Cathy spent eleven years in various accounting roles in several privately held companies in the Burlington, Vermont, area.

Cathy is a graduate of Trinity College of Vermont, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Vermont Society of CPAs and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Cathy resides in Fairfax, Vermont, with her husband Kirk.

 

Amy  works collaboratively with a broad range of commercial and not-for-profit organizations including manufacturing, distribution, retail, service providers, and various mission-oriented organizations. She specializes in financial statement and uniform guidance audits, reviews, form 990s, and other accounting services, and has experience in a variety of industries including software, renewable energy, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, independent schools, and private foundations.

Amy joined GFC in 2009 after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. She serves on the board of directors of Special Olympics Vermont as treasurer and finance committee chair. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also certified to perform audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards for entities receiving federal funds.

Amy was born and raised in rural northeast Vermont, where she grew up in a large family. She currently resides in Waterbury, Vermont with her husband, Andy. In her free time, she enjoys scenic walks and hikes, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and undertaking ambitious home renovation projects. She was also a long-time member of GFC’s softball team.

Elizabeth manages assurance engagements for a variety of non-public companies and not-for-profit organizations, with a concentration on not-for-profit organizations. Her not-for-profit experience includes audits of independent schools, colleges, and universities, as well as of human service, humanitarian, cultural, and religious organizations, and private foundations. In the course of this work, Elizabeth has planned, conducted, and supervised numerous single audits under Federal Uniform Guidance.

Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Elizabeth spent eight years in Accounting & Auditing with CBIZ MHM in Boston, Massachusetts, where she became a Principal in the Not-For-Profit and Education practice. Subsequently, she spent five years as Chief Financial Officer of a Massachusetts human services agency. As CFO, she oversaw all aspects of the fiscal function, including preparation for annual financial and Uniform Guidance, employee benefit plan, and regulatory agency audits. Elizabeth holds a Certificate in Accounting from Salem State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Simmons University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College, all in Massachusetts.

Elizabeth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of CPAs. She recently completed a term on the board of directors and as treasurer of Backyard Growers, a community organization promoting vegetable gardening in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and is a past treasurer and capital campaign co-chair of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Gloucester.
