Timothy P. Aubé, CPA
Managing Director, Transaction Advisory Services
Tim has over a decade of assurance and advisory experience working with a variety of closely held, venture-backed, and private equity owned companies spanning a broad range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, and professional services. The early part of his career focused on financial statement audits and reviews. Leveraging that experience, he shifted his focus from compliance services to transaction advisory, primarily advising buy-side and sell-side clients through financial due diligence and quality of earnings reporting.
Tim has held various leadership roles within the firm, including audit senior manager, director of operations, and, currently, as the leader of our Transaction Advisory Services practice.
Tim joined the firm in 2010 after graduating from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tim is also a 2019 graduate of the Lake Champlain Chamber’s Leadership Champlain program.
Spencer works with small-to-middle market clients in a variety of industries, providing transaction advisory services including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, and quality of earnings reporting.
In addition to his due diligence and transaction work, he offers a depth of knowledge in compliance services that informs his current work. Prior to joining GFC’s Transaction Advisory Services team, Spencer served as a manager in the firm’s Accounting and Assurance (A&A) practice. In this role, he provided audit, review and compilation services to both commercial and nonprofit clients with concentrations in manufacturing, consumer products and professional service organizations.
Spencer joined the firm in 2016, after graduating summa cum laude from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants (VTCPA).
He currently resides in Plattsburgh, NY with his wife, Kailie, and their two dogs, Finley and Pretzel. He is an avid sports fan (go Pats!) and enjoys spending his free time golfing and exploring Vermont’s local craft beverage and culinary scene.
Kyle provides financial due diligence services to both private equity and strategic corporate buyers and sellers across a wide range of industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, and professional services.
Prior to joining the Transaction Advisory Services team, he served as a senior accountant in GFC’s Accounting and Assurance (A&A) practice. In this role, he specialized in financial statement audits and reviews, compilations, and other accounting services. His compliance experience has given Kyle the ability to shift his focus to advisory services and provide clients with valuable information regarding financial due diligence.
Kyle joined the firm in 2018, after earning his Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance degrees from the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants (VTCPA).
