Michael Keller Retires from GFC

It is with deep appreciation that Gallagher, Flynn & Company, LLP (GFC) announces the retirement of Michael S. Keller, CPA. Keller will retire at the end of December 2021, closing a storied career with GFC that has spanned more than 40 years.

Keller joined the firm in 1979, after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. During his tenure at the firm, he has served in various leadership roles including as an audit partner since 1988, as co-managing partner of the firm for 15 years (2004- 2019), and most recently as senior partner.

In addition to providing and coordinating ongoing accounting, auditing, tax, and business advisory services to a substantial number of clients, Keller was also responsible for implementing quality control for the firm. Regarded as a master technician, Keller has served on various state boards and committees providing his expertise.

In June of 1985, Governor Madeleine Kunin appointed Mike to the Vermont Board of Accountancy, a governmental body that regulates the profession. He served on the board for three years, retiring as chair in 1988. In 1989, the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants appointed him to the Executive Committee of the New England Quality Review Program, a committee that oversees peer reviews in the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine.
