GREGORY G. BOURGEA, CPA
Co-Managing Partner
Greg Bourgea is a Partner with Gallagher, Flynn & Company, and Co-Managing
Partner since 2004. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen
& Company in Boston. After rising to the level of senior auditor, he
joined Gallagher, Flynn & Company in 1984. Greg has been a Partner in
the Firm since 1990.
As Partner, Mr. Bourgea works with clients on business accounting, audit and financial reporting matters. He is also very much involved in management consulting issues and advisory tasks with his clients. The on-going management advisory services Mr. Bourgea provides to businesses include improved accounting systems and internal controls, assistance in obtaining financing, executive search, assistance with buying or selling a business, compensation plans, cash flow management, business succession planning, and other strategic planning services.
Through the years, Mr. Bourgea has gained significant experience working with large and small manufacturers, distributors, contractors, service professions, and mail order businesses. Mr. Bourgea has worked closely with various economic development agencies in Vermont to attract and retain businesses and jobs. A Burlington native, he graduated with high honors from Bentley College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy.
Mr. Bourgea was instrumental in establishing and developing the original
Vermont/Canada Trade Office, the precursor to Vermont's World Trade Office
where he served on the Board of Directors and was Treasurer. He also has
been actively involved with the Burlington International Games, the Kiwanis
Club of South Burlington and various local youth programs. He currently
serves on the advisory board for the Vermont Family Business Institute.
In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants.
